Random thought

I know of nothing more debilitating to a child than the absence of discipline.  People aren’t born with discipline, no, it is a learned behavior.    

Those that have never been taught discipline have not been taught restraint which means, “you only get when you have given”.  Because discipline requires work, (sometimes many hours of it to receive a few minutes of pleasure) it is viewed negatively by some… and that is a shame.

When you rob a child of the opportunity to fail, you rob him of the privilege of success that comes from hard work.  


Dear kids,

i promise i’ll do my best to balance discipline with freedom. my parents made a pretty good job with me, but i can see some “tiny holes” from the distance.
